Soaked dry fruits powder for growing Children

Dry Fruits (Nuts and Seeds) and their benefits

Dry fruits have long been used as a mix of nutrients and vitamins by people of all ages. It’s a good snack to have, can be used on any food item and packs a whole bunch of nutrients. Visit any Indian household, and you’ll see mothers struggling to feed their children a daily dose of dry fruits.

But is this the best way for your child to consume their daily dry fruits? When consuming dry fruits as is, children do not get the complete amount of nutrients present in them.

Soaking dry fruits in water has been a long-standing tradition. Soaking ensures the nutrients present in the dry fruits (nuts and seeds for that matter) are easily available and quickly absorbed as compared to non-soaked dry fruits. This is because over-night soaking (for 6-8 hours) enables removal of phytic acid, a chemical that slows down the nutrient-absorption by the body.

Pueritia is the trailblazer in bringing SOAKED Dry Fruit Powder. Its prepared from seven highly nutritious nuts and seeds (aka ‘Soaky’, as kids fondly call it! And, we call it Soaky 7-in-1 !).

Try giving your child their daily dose of nutrition with Soaky. Your children will tell you that its much lighter on their stomachs, unlike dry fruits and their powders. Our soaked dry fruits powder can be given to the infants as young as 8 months, much without the concerns of gas and bloating.

When preparing the soaked dry fruit powder, we pay close attention to the ingredients used. After all, its important to consider that Soaky meets the nutritional demands of growing children. The powder is mindfully prepared considering the nutritional requirements.

Here are the nutrients and benefits of each ingredient present in the powder:

  • Almonds
  • Almonds have long-been a staple in the dry fruits’ platter. They are rich in vitamin E, healthy fats, protein, fiber, magnesium, and calcium. Consuming almonds daily has been researched and shown to reduce blood sugar levels, blood pressure and cholesterol. Your doctor would have recommended almonds for your child, as it aids in brain development, bone health and improving your immunity system. Snacking on almonds also reduces feelings of hunger, and therefore promoting weight loss.

  • Cashews
  • Cashews aren’t just part of the dry fruits’ platter, they are often used as main cooking ingredients in lavish Indian dishes. They are a powerhouse of vitamins and minerals, from vitamins B6 and E, minerals like copper, magnesium, and zinc, as well as healthy fats. While not to be consumed in excess, cashew nuts support growth and development, boost immune function, aid in digestion, and promote healthy skin and hair.

  • Walnuts
  • Walnuts are a great source of essential fats and minerals. Some of these include omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, protein, fiber, vitamins B6 and E, magnesium, and phosphorus. Just like almonds and cashew nuts, walnuts are recommended to children for brain development and function, improve their immune system, digestion and heart health.

  • Pumpkin Seeds
  • Pumpkin seeds are a rich source of anti-oxidants and amino acids, primarily tryptophan. They also contain fiber, healthy fats, iron, magnesium, and zinc. Pumpkin seeds support healthy growth and development, provide essential nutrients for energy, boost immune function, support healthy sleep, and promote bone health.

  • Sunflower Seeds:
  • Like the other nutty components of our soaked dry fruit powder, sunflower seeds are a nutritious snack which can help crave hunger pangs. Sunflower seeds contain vitamin E, healthy fats, protein, fiber, magnesium, selenium, and antioxidants. Due to their high essential mineral content, sunflower seeds are consumed by those looking to maintain healthy skin, immunity, bone and heart health.

  • Watermelon Seeds:
  • Even as watermelon contains 92% water, watermelon seeds come packed with protein, healthy fats, magnesium, potassium, and iron. Important to note here is the magnesium content – it is a key chemical that helps the human body in energy production, protein synthesis and regulating nerve function and blood pressure.

  • Muskmelon Seeds:
  • Muskmelon seeds are rich in protein, fiber, which help in improved gut health and digestion. The fiber content also helps in regular bowel movements. The additional vitamins, which include vitamins A and C, improve your immune system, and are especially recommended to pregnant women.
